megascroll ---------- well well well...falstaff of p@-239 welcomes you to our latest demo, 'the megascroll-239' released on 27th of august 1989 (albert was slow, i was ready in 16.08)..do you think, that the name was 'coz there is only a scroll, you're wrong! or what? well, i decided to call this part of demo the great(?) introscroll...i know, this scroll is soooo unreadable, but eh, well i just had to make it like this...i know, this part looks a bit lame, but when this scrolly eats almos 75% of rastertime, it was a miracle, i could even make it look this 'good'... well, credits for this part go to: all coding, radiation-logo & pu-239 -sprites, equ-sprites, rolling colorbars, scrolltext and (poor?) ideas by me, falstaff of p@-239 colors by albert of pu-239 music by benn (at least i think so...) well, coz this part is soooooo unreadable, i quit now, see ya in the next part...bye hit it! you dummy! go on, press it you lamer! hey, are you visiting firdgerator or what!? hit the space you lamer! ---- welcome...this part is called: 'the simple colordemo' and it was coded by falstaff of &pu-239& in just one day (13.08.1989),i also ripped the music, edited about half of the spritchars and made the logo and ripped the font and so on in just one day... credits go to: falstaff: coding, spritechars, scrolltext albert: colors, scrolltext well, the spritechars were based on alberts spritechars (as much as 68000 is based on 6510...hih) the idea to write a new megademo was invented by me...(hard, eh?) well, there are three new members in &pu-239&..welcome saviour, gremlin and crank...all three with amigas! thats frightening...our group is turning to an amiga-group, already 4 amigas in it!!! albert and secundus, what are we going to do!? (buy amigas, eh;-)...) looking for greetings and hiphops? check the last part..hey...wanna control scrollspeed? be my guest, and plug joystick in port#2 and just get away with it...if you can read it with full speed, then you're quite a reader, but if even the slovest one is too fast, you can stop the scroll and try then...eh, well it's now 16.08.1989 and schools begin tomorrow, aaagh... are you starting to think, that this is quite an oridinary demo? well, i suppose you're wrong, 'cause the best is yet to come...falstaff of &pu-239& signing off, bye for now, gotta finish this whole demo...let's give albert a chance to write, so here it is... : albert hello all!! this is albert of pu-239 and i am going to write some shit to this scroller too... i have noticed that new demos for c=64 are getting more and more boring.. they have good musicx and maybe one 'amazing' demonstration, but nothing more. many 'new' demos just have 'an idea' and one picture, mainly logos.. i don't like it, something should be done.. well, my ideas are so slow nowadays too, but i'm still trying to get some action in the screen..! for example my "pipe" had 50 lines time left and i added musix and another scroll!! unfortunately i am not very good in graphix, so my demos always seem a bit 'old'. or what would you say about graphix with normal characters..? hope i am getting better slowly.. (better slowly than not at all..) btw, my best demo still is "compact".. after this demo it isn't that sure.. ok! that's enough of text.. albert logged out........... note from falstaff...press space, and be seated... warp ---- hello everybody!! this is albert of the great (??) &pu-239& .. (sorry, secundus, the logo is still upside-down..) i wish i made this demo a year ago.. then it would have been a great success, but now nobody doesn't even notice how excellent this scroller is..! oh! i forgot.. let's have some color here.. yes, and then some movement.. yeeeeaaah!! that is much better now.. so where were i.. nowhere..? use joystick in port #1 to change tune. button to change, directions to select tune.. use joystick in port #2 to play my simple breakout with 7 sprites. (when it is initilized music is not played, but you probably won't notice much difference...) so, credits for this demo goes to : coding, fonts, grafix, ideas and colors : albert musicx ripped of hawkeye scrolltexts : albert, lovejoy, falstaff and secundus by the way, there is absolutely no cracked media in this demo, so don't try to find any, you won't find it..! lovejoy is going to write our/his greez list later, so i don't write it here.. personal hellos to: mr.mister/tdd , shadowcat/dynastar and the beasty boy (where were you from?) note to dr.pong : didn't you see my 'compact'..? it featured vertical rasters..! so don't try to steal my ideas..!! :-) coding is great, but why do i always have to get ideas that use 90% of processor time!! it is then frustrating to try to get some life in the other half of the screen.. this breakout-idea was the best i could come up with. and as i said, it is just simple, don't critisize it too much... and if it is dull, don't play it..! albert signing off.... hi folks, this is lovejoy of radiate problem team (pu-239). i have a feeling that albert has no idea what could be our greezlist, so i better write it here : beyond force , byterapers , fleshbrain audio productions , gate , megapower team , neutron dance crackers , pure-byte , slayer , standard orbit , tdd , tronic , unit 5 and x-men ... have ya noticed that atari st (yak!) contains 4096 colors..? i haven't, even though one local st-lamer said so. thats why i and one another guy started to investigate the case and we found out that st flashes two or more screens and the colors are a little bit different each frame. but that only proves that st contains *only* 512 colors. and try to guess what that st-lamer said, when we said that amiga can show 32768 colors if st can 4096: "does amiga contain super-interlace?" marvellous.. fantastic.. great.. st-lamers know a bit too much about amiga... or what do ya think. btw, if ya want to send a bomb to the st-lamer, his name is fe + h2o. (tip!). that was a sad story about one lonely st-lamer. hey man, stop crying! help! i gonna sink if ya don't stop! hhheeeeelllpppp ... pulp.. pulp.. and here comes falstaff and signs love-jÖy off....the new look of lovejoy's name was invented by secundus and it'll be seen, if his text is going to be located in this megademo coded by albert and falstaff (me!) this part was coded by albert, as you might have noticed, and other two parts are coded by me...what a luck for me that this part is the last one so you didn't quite notice how lame the first ones were..well, can't help myself... just don't get ideas... by the way lovejoy, that idea from the amigademo kefrens converted to c=64 might be possible, but how about bad-lines...well, we'll see it some time...hm,i haven't yet seen the part i'm writing this text for, but i have heard some facts about this, which makes me suppose that albert has written the best piece of demo we've ever produced...well, i hope, that you won't let me down, albert... wanna contact us? buy a modem and call to some of the boxes in tampere/finland.(+358-31-box-number)...you might try microfan opus bbs, but propably we'll find your message in almost every box in here, except maybe that st-joke-box called purkkapirkki or something like that. that's a good lamer-filter...must contact with modem...that's quite good filter for coders too...eh. hm, well see you, falstaff of &pu-239& fading away bye now it's my turn (it's me, secundus ) i have been told to write the history of pu-239. the first idea about founding a group was introduced by albert in 4th january 1989 so we founded it at once. we just had some difficulties with the name of the group. in the beginning, there was only 3 of us: albert, secundus, and love-jÖy. it was approximately 11th february when we accepted falstaff to join the group (he was 7373 at that time, 7373 for his birthday ... but he himself said the name was just silly). after that, albert released demos every now and then ... well, once we were in love-jÖy's place, watching an amiga-demo. the demo told about a copy-party that was held in lahti .... hum, it was *tried* to be held... well, that's another story. so in 7th april i released my second vic-20 demo (the first one was *poor* and i have lost it...) so, after that, nothing special happened before the middle of june when ÄÄnekoskelaiset Örkit (saviour and gremlin) wanted to join the group. well, we visited them 14th...15th july 1989. gremlin was a *bit* surprised when we came to his place at 1am, hihihi... that was a silly trip again; we slept on a high bird-watching platform... (anyway, better than falstaff that hadn't been in lahti and vantaa and so didn't know it's next to impossible to sleep in a car...) now i have to write a veeeeeerrrryyy long scroll so that love-jÖy cannot show me amiga-dos... (darned, now they are shouting me that it is amigados, not amiga-dos...) shit, this is meta-writing!! so now we'll go to falstaff's place.. (i'm writing this in love-jÖy's place)..... mmu malfuction in line 2939 stupid reader error in 2100 computer too smart error near 65000 guru meditation, software error , task held gomf getting on my face error help.. can you see th+++error in input, resetting+++is? i'm trying to say+++fatal error, logout immediately+++ goodbye, but this d*mned microvax is getting on my face... bye +++forced logoff at 23.10+++
