megademo 92 ----------- digital disaster design 1992 (pal) all ideas, coding and gfx by albert intro the picture is 960*56 pixels ! (and in multicolor mode) copper2 the scroll is 248 lines high ! (tilt your head right to read) demoli some nostalgy, this part is 2 years old! sprites are stretched in real time, but the routine is much slower than the one in the last part.. fore! quite an interesting part. there is many effects in the scroller and a frequency display for the music.this is also the last part and after it you get just some color bars. i was going to code something else there, but the parts are now crunched so many times that it would be too much work and you know i am lazy.. btw, this is the only screen that looks right in ntsc c64's (space) ---- copper 2 !! this is a somewhat better version of the border-color scroller.. all coding by albert of #pu-239# music by markus schneider of beyond force so, this is the so called introduction to some of the parts after my military service.. actually i got out about 10 months ago, but was so busy learning c that the whole c64 was forgotten.. but then i got a64 - the c64 emulator for amiga.. i was checking out some disk of mine and found the demopart, which was coded just before i left for army.. nostalgic..! so for the good old days i decided once more code a new megademo for the machine.. i already had some ideas reserved for the new parts, so all i had to do was code them.. is't that easy ?? fortunately i didn't have to learn all over again, i could use a lot of code from the previous megademos.. and the fonts too (my own design, both in this part and the last part(well,if it is going to be the last..)) hmm, no greetz here, old greetings in the next part and some new greetings in the third (the last?) part.. still reading?? wrap!! hahahha.. ---- hello!! this is the newest demo from albert of pu-239.. i know you like this combined stretcher and zoomer scroller . i think it is time for crediz : coding, graphics, ideas and scrolltexts by albert this text was written in 26.6.1990, but the demo has been in this condition several weeks.. there is still some room for greetings.. special hellos to all my contacts... and greez to all cool groups (i just lost our list of greetings, but i know that very few persons will read this scroll anyway..) btw, the logo there below is really moving 24 pixels horizontally and 32 pixels vertically.. just try to find out how it is possible (there just isn't time to scroll it..) and a mega super hyper hellos to all other members of pu-239 : secundus, lovejoy, falstaff, saviour, gremlin and crank ... text is starting over again.. ---- hello, this is albert writing. did you notice that there is something definetely weird about this scroll... the background color seems to hide the sprites and some color bars change sprite images! well, actually it is only a cheap old trick i invented for making tech-tech with sprites. the other speciality is smooth stretching in real-time. (sprites are stretched independently) that $3fff-thing is just to create some bugs to be found.. btw, control the speed with joy in port#2. credits: coding, graphics, fonts and ideas by albert music: link of vibrants the ideas in this demo were actually developed two years ago, but first i was in the army and then just too lazy.. then i got a öhuge urge to finish a megademo for which i already had one part. the new copper-demo was a simple double-buffer part, but then i thought that somebody might think it is done with sprites. so i tried to make it look like something impossible was happening, but it would have meant rewriting a whole lot of code, so i just skipped that. for this part i optimized the stretcher routine even more, but it still takes a great amount of time to stretch the sprites individually.. so ñthis part won't have a fli-picture :-) (i have coded some utilities to convert pictures from ilbm-format to fli or koala on the amiga) so that is all you ever gonna see in this scroll,so freeze, reset or whatever you want to do now!
