slow ideas, part 1 coding: albert grafix: albert music: jeroen tel texts: albert, falstaff this is albert writing, have you ever seen tech-tech done with sprites? just look above!! and remember! albert of &pu-239& made it first!! i just regret that it became so crappy, but you know i am no good in grafix.. hmm, slow ideas, that is exactly what we have got left in demo-world. at least *good* ideas are slow.. but we are still trying.. or what would you say?? yes! yes! there isn't our full greetings list because it has become so long after we got amiga-contacts, but here is some personal hellos: the beasty boy, shadowcat, mr mister and my 'contacts' i hope you like this demo, because it has a new idea. i personally think that every good demo has to have something new to show or it just is shit (there may well be well-done shit, but shit anyway..). so, i have been quite quiet lately, studies are so hard, but i hope i can get another new idea someday.. till that, bye albert of &pu-239& exiting, but read also, what falstaff has to say.. falstaff/pu-239 logged in 26.12.1989, 15.03 well, this is falstaff writing. hmh, pu-239 will reach the age of one year after a week or so. during this first year there has been quite a lot that we have done. 11+this demos for c=64 (by albert and me (and lovejoy for 1/3 of a demo)) one game for c=64 (doubletetris by me, falstaff) 2 demos for amiga (by saviour) we succesfully run 4 boxes (äalbert, secundus, lovejoy and crank) we made 2*256 kilobytes of ramdisk (secundus for vic-20 and albert for c=64) we were represented in lahti copy-party 7.4.1989 (albert, secundus and lovejoy) we held a group-meeting in ÄÄnekoski at summer (at about 1 am in gremlin's place...) when albert and secundus founded this group, there were no amigas at all. about five minutes(?) later lovejoy joined and there was one amiga in our group. since saviour, gremlin and crank joined there were 4 amigas until now..albert went and bought an amiga too...5 amigas in our group. and 7 members. well, vic-20 is still the most numerous machine in pu-239..5 1/2 of them... hmm, i think that albert will run out of memory, if i continue much further, so press that space and see the real demo... falstaff/pu-239 logging out merry christmas and happy new year to you too, and *press* space, now! ---- slow ideas part ii by falstaff of pu-239. this demo is 100% hand made in tampere finland (except the music which is made by jeroen tel) this part was finished in 21st of december 1989 so merry christmas and happy new year to you too... well, this scroll is really quite nice. if you haven't seen the last part of our latest megademo (by albert) i bet this is the first border breaking sinus-scroll you've ever seen... well, let's move to crediz. all coding: falstaff grafics: albert, lovejoy and falstaff scrolltext: falstaff, albert and lovejoy all of us from pu-239 i really invented that tehc-tech (104 pixels wide) by myself, but then came the disappointment...at least rawhead has done it before. this scroll is anyway invented and first made by albert of pu-239 but i did mine with even better routine but albert's scroll was higher... have you seen my doubletetris? it features two tetris-games in one screen, and it was of course made totally with machine code. the shopversion of c=64-tetris is not fully mc! there is plenty of compiled basic and when i saw that i couldn't believe my eyes. a fully prized game made with basic in 1989!!! well, my doubletetris should be published in january's or february's (1990) mikrobitti computermagazine. at least i hope so. would you like to contact us for swapping new demos on c=64 (and amiga) or change experiences or just chat about c=64 then buy a modem and call some of the boxes in tampere/finland (the area code is 931 (from abroad +358 31) and be sure that you use your own name... well, falstaff of pu-239 signing off... hello, i am lovejoy(stick). falstaff just called to my box and asked for some scroll-text.. i promised (what a mistake!) to write something for him but as everyone of pu-239 probably knows, i am lazy... falstaff was a *bit* angry just a moment ago.. and what's the best: my box cut the line off eventhough falstaff was only trying to get back to box from chat.. i apogolize, falstaff.. 8) 8) 8) (if you're wondering why there's some eights and some )-charters, you should crack your neck about 90 degrees left and you'll see some funny faces..!). oukkei.. falstaff asked(?) me to write our greetings-list too, but who the hell knows all our friends... not me! i think it's enough if i write only special-greetings..? here we go.. ndc (hi malone, is your supra still in mad mood..?), pure-byte (yip!! you son of the dirty bit! never home, saviour has wanted dungeon master almost 2 months from you! i can offer you a big-mac.. 8) ), browbeat, byterapers, slayer, invasoft, bloodsuckers, boom (sorry, my disks were late because of my lazyness), alive (hi guys, it's absolutely great that you speard your demos.. thanks!), x-men (you've been very quiet lately..), paranoiac.. my head seems to be empty.. well, that's just normal so no panic. hmm.. lovejoy out ok, look here now, this is albert writing.. oh, it is falstaff's turn to get his part last, so i just have to live with it.. i hope that you did enjoy my part as well, but.. there is no way i can guarantee that, in fact my part is totally unwritten when i write this text. but fortunately i am a fast coder, so i am in no panic at all.. i code routines in my mind, so it is then easy just typing them in .. and adjusting some minor things.. well, the real reason why i write this shit is that falstaff was going to kill me if i didn't write anything.. ok, it was a simple trade, if i write something, he will write something for my part.. hmm, did i have something to say.. yes, i bought an amiga 500.. what a shame to confess that, please don't choke me, secundus.. anyway, i don't think i will write any demos with amiga, i am going to concentrate on *real* programmes. if you are interested, my e-mail address is 'po87553@tut.fi' ok, that is all, folks.. albert of the great pu-239 signing off the console, date 19.12.1989 , time 22:59
